What is the difference between "trolling" and "flaming"?

And I wouldn't say I was trolling in the OP by any means. Instead, I was just being a bit playful, but playfulness must be prohibited as well.

Perhaps that should be added to the commandments as 1c.?

More than one Admin has made a clear distinction between trolling and flaming. Rummy is one. In his view, trolling is very different from flaming.

Flaming equals very negative personal attacks. Trolling can be very innocent and playful.

Flaming and trolling are not the same.

Well flaming has been defined by TD and it seems to fit with my definition of trolling.
quote:

“Flaming” is the deliberate act of creating a post in order to incite members of the board and invoke a negative response.

Apparently he doesn't understand the concept of trolling to incite negative responses. His version of trolling is considered flaming.

But is it considered flaming/trolling if it's coming from a Mizzou fan? No one takes them seriously anyway

It amazes me that you continue to troll and start these help board threads daily without consequence. Must have some Chicken nudes you're holding hostage.
