Yes, I looked into them. My d-link cams have the same functionality minus the cloud recording. Having my recordings in the cloud isn't very appealing. Not to mention the indoor dlink cams are much cheaper than dropcam and the outdoor cams are only a few bucks more. They also have sd card slots to record locally and can be viewed via the cloud if I choose. The biggest difference for me was that the d-link cameras were compatible with my synology, dropcam weren't. I use synology for my recordings and the device is pretty well hidden in my house.
