You got absolutely nothing here. One cannot damage someone else's property without repercussions regardless if it is "legally" parked or not.

It's a moot point anyway since the vehicle was parked in front of its own lot.

Just because nothing may come of it doesn't mean looking into it is a bad idea. I believe learning more about the law regarding a situation, even if it doesn't help you, is solid legal advice
