I wonder how they do in bad weather. Can you really say "it's raining, change break time/distance by X%" Obviously you can, but I'm saying how do they know how much X% should be? Can they tell how hard it is raining or how much water is on the road and change X% accordingly? I will say that the automatic antiskid steering assist technology in my current car works very well, and that's a fairly "dumb" technology compared to what we're talking, so I'm sure they'll figure it out.

As of now, the car won't drive itself if it can't see markers on the road. But yeah, it is wired into every possible sensor in the car, so it knows what the traction control is feeling, etc. It considers every factor that you or I can think of, I'm sure.
