I disagree. I truly believe he will average around .300 with 30-40 homeruns, 15-25 steals, and have a war similar to Trout if he can stick at third which I'm in the minority of thinking he will.
Im not defending Theo and Jed here but that's why I think we haven't seen him yet.
I really doubt were pinching penny's with service time when it comes to a generational talent like this. There Is just too high a chance of hurt feelings for them to play games like that.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the fall instructional league solely to work on his defensive footwork at third.
On a related note, how excited are we that Soler is coming up today. The future is now. The kiddie Cubs are for real and coming to a postseason near you.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it now. Jon Lester will be a Cub this offseason.
Id also like to see us sign a veteran position player. Theres not many open spots available.
The one spot that we could upgrade in the short term offensively is catcher.
I'd really like to see us make a run at Russell Martin. He would provide offense from behind the dish, mentor Welly, and be that veteran with postseason experience that can be invaluable to a young talented team on the rise.
The more I think about the more perfect it sounds. Get on it Theo.
Next year, we'll be at least a wild card, and the beginning of the dynasty.
