My take is that Nola is actually fairly close to MLB ready and he is very safe pick. May not ever be an ace, but could be a #2 pitcher with it being probable that he would be a #3.

If the Cubs think that Baez and Bryant are pretty close to being ready, it might be a good idea to pick up a guy like Nola who would only take a year or year and a half to get called up to the show so that he can join a team that would have a good offense with Bryant and Baez (and Olt, Rizzo, Castro)

I'm starting to feel like Nola wouldn't be a reach at #4.

I don't disagree with any of that, and while i'd encourage a safe pick like that i just don't think it's going to happen with a lot of really good pitchers (some due to injury) avalible in subsequent rounds. I expect the cubs to either address the lack of cactching in the system with pentecost or take gordon.

his rise has been steep and i certainly think he's top 10, just more towards the back of top 10.

but that's just weekend watcher (and lifting info from other people) predicting there i don't have any real guage on these things.
