The DL this year will be better by default IMHO

I don't know if that's definitely the case. You're replacing a guy who was a 2nd round pick in Ego and, though he underperformed, a guy with experience in Johnson. Hopefully the 2013 DL class has matured physically and this will be a bit like 2010 & 2011 when you saw several young player really come into their own.

I'll say it 50 times until kickoff. If the DL is back to "LSU's standard" then this team will have a chance to win every game. If not, 4-5 losses isn't out of the question. IMO, the DL is the key to the season. If your DL is solid, your LBs and DBs automatically become better players.

As I said before, we can only go up from where we were a year ago. We have a lot more good talent on the DL this year, it's just unproven at this point. I don't think that will be the case by the end of the year.

Those youngsters will be a lot more hungry to prove themselves than was the case with our rotation last year.

We will improve on the DL. Our LB corps will be nasty, deep, and talented. Our secondary will even better with experience and the addition of new talent.

This defense will be crazy good by the end of the year.
