I'm not somebody who follows LSU baseball as I have don't access to watch the games. I watched the SEC tournament for the games that were on national television and I saw the bracket that was released earlier. What advantages does LSU get for being a top 8 national seed if there are 16 number 1 seeds for each regional? What does LSU get that a team like Rice doesn't?

Each National seeded team is paired with another Regional that doesn't have a National seed. In theory, that's good.

Considering LSU's never made it to Omaha on the road in the Super Regionals.. It's a good thing.
