based on your reply to my post - it looks like you are now saying LSU will make the most money per seat. that to me is different than saying it is the best stadium and/or the best place to see a football game.
i have no clue if LSU will make the most per seat. i dont doubt you - but i have no comment on that. just purely my opinion on design - to be perfectly frank i think the south addition is really terribly designed.
as for the "guts" of the north and other areas - i dont see the floor to floor heights or things like that being much of an issue. who says they need to keep it as is in terms of floor plates? hell, knock out a few areas of floor plates to create large internal volumes. there are alot of things you can do.just leave critical areas (or add in steel beams) to ensure lateral forces are resisted etc...
hopefully if/when its done it will not be the designer of the south endzone.

I'l spell it out for you...Tiger Stadium is a better place to watch a football game than most of the stadiums in this league, and certainly better than any of the other four 100,000+ seat stadiums.
As I said in the OP, Tiger Stadium has the most chair back seats of all types. There's a link in the OP that proves that. It also has the second-most premium seating of all types in the conference to Arkansas' RRS. And Tiger Stadium does have more suites now than RRS.
The South End zone was built mainly vertically, which mean the fans that sit there are still on top of the action. And the suites, club seating, and even the visitors seats up top have unmatched access to amenities compared with other stadiums in the SEC.
Here's what one Aggie poster had to say about the new addition:

I'd much rather sit in LSU's new seats than anywhere in the lower deck endzones. The great access to amenities is a bonus.

Here's another quote from a Vol fan:

I totally agree, if the bathrooms and concessions are gonna be that close then that is a huge plus for Tiger Stadium.

Simply put, LSU built smarter than most other schools.
When I posted about the new Nicholson Drive Project, the new light rail, and the proposed rail link between BR and NOLA, other SEC were amazed at what we are building around here.

yep, you'll really planning on putting a lightrail from NO to TS. if so that shites going to be sic and its definitely going to raise the bar. Talking bout an arms race......jeeezzzzzz.

LSU is building something amazing and unmatched here. It's truly a great time to be an LSU fan.

The light rail is to downtown BR. There will be a rail link between BR and NOLA at the station downtown though.

All of the development projects going on between downtown Baton Rouge and LSU has led to plans to develop a $100 million streetcar line along the Nicholson Drive corridor.

Here is the info on the rail link between Baton Rouge and NOLA:
quote:
Startup costs for a passenger train linking Baton Rouge and New Orleans on existing freight tracks would be $262 million, about half a previous estimate, with federal funds underwriting up to 80 percent of that amount, according to a rail study released Tuesday.
Tickets could be as low as $10 each way. Ridership for twice daily service is estimated at 210,000 in the first year, HNTB said. The service would include stops in between the two cities, and could ultimately grow to more frequent service with a possible station near the New Orleans International Airport.
Consultants envision a convenient alternative for the 1.4 million people who live in the booming parishes along the rail line. A passenger train service would allow riders to work during commutes; offer an evacuation route during hurricanes, especially to Baton Rouge hospitals; and supply easy connections to events, such as LSU and New Orleans Saints football games, Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest.

Across Nicholson Drive...
I'll say it again...there will be nothing remotely like it in the SEC. Restaurants, shops, and bars right across from the stadium. Which is a good thing, as it allows fans to have a good time while the traffic dies down after games.
