If you look at my earlier posts on this issue, I called this exact outcome.

People were stating that the ACA would decrease ED visits. The outcome was always going to be the exact opposite.

I said the same thing. Many people without insurance before went to the ER. Even if they have subsidized insurance, they are not going to chance that behavior...

There was absolutely no logical reason this would happen other than as a talking point to sell ACA to the ignorant.

Maybe If it included opening up more residency spots or including some major incentives to ER physicians and primary care doctors... but that's certainly not happening, at least not that I know of.
