I wouldn't say there's statewide hatred for LSU, but more sense of pride in their own school. In Lafayette, most of their fans pull for their school and their school only. I remember going to see the Cajuns play Mcneese in Lake Charles in baseball about a month ago. I could have sworn that a good 25-30% of the stadium was in LSU gear. I've also seen that in Monroe as well for baseball games. You don't see that in Lafayette.

As far as the whole "pulling against LSU" debacle, I'm sure that there are a few fans who pull against LSU. I've known LSU people who do the same to the Cajuns. But, a lot of my UL friends don't care whether LSU wins or loses. And neither do I. But some people take it as if "oh, well you must not like LSU." No, that's not it. I just don't care what they do.

Just thought I'd clarify where I stand on the issue.
