this is so not worth getting pissy over, but since you obviously didn't read my earlier post about the proposal to raise taxes in my ISD to supplement shortfalls in surrounding ISDs, that's what I'm referring to, it was an answer to an earlier question about why would anyone bitch about money being spent on a new stadium, not me bitching, although I voted aginst it, but an answer to the posters question, people had concerns that their tax $ were going to help fund projects like this, under the false pretenses

This was most likely related to the State "Robin Hood" Law. School districts are limited to spending only a certain amount per student. If they collect more than that from property taxes, it has to be transferred to a "poor" district. But the wealthy district does get to keep some of that overage.

Allen ISD is top notch and they have the money to do what they want. They got the stadium and also a performing arts center built into the Allen High.
