I literally do not know why he thinks this.

Because the greenies are statist first. If fossil fuels diminish because of fusion technology the statist loses a method to bludgeon people though more taxes (carbon credits in this case). You really believe Obama cares about carbon emissions?

The people wondering why the greenies would be pissed are hilarious.

Let's see....Obama and co have attempted to prop up an entire solar, wind, unicorn industry that just cant compete. When skunkworks releases their model in 2017, it wont take more than a week before all the liberals who have invested in wind and solar go apoplectic.

Oh, and to whatever clown said O&G would be worried....do you know how much of our society BEYOND energy relies on oil? virtually ALL of it.

I say this with all honesty. It saddens me that you seem to believe that any significant number of people would feel this way over one of the most significant, if not THE most significant scientific advancement of all time. You need to take a step away from the media my friend. Fusion energy will be universally celebrated. Of course, the politicians will no doubt find some way to frick it all up. If you were only referring to the politicians then you have my apology.

That's just not true, dude. There are plenty of people who lean left but who would welcome fusion. Hell, almost all of my liberal friends from college would wet themselves at the prospect of a viable fusion option.
