You can do that without the operating costs of a 24/7 network.

Taking a Arkansas at Auburn game to the SEC network when it would have already been televised is just
using the channel to force viewers to buy yet another channel on their already bloated tv channel lineup.

What other network will show classic SEC games throughout the summer? Oh, ESPN classic? Not remotely the same.

If you hate it so much why not just go to the game? Teh point of the SECN has nothing to do with the 14 saturdays a year that football is on. It's about the programming during the other 9 months of the year.
