This one is one of the best DIPAs I've had. Perfect for my tastes. I love the citrus, tropical fruit hopiness and this one delivers.

NP. Glad you liked it. Thought you were stuck in a rut with the beers you were drinking (before you went to Cali), so I thought you might like a taste of Oregon...

I recommended drinking the MW first, because I thought you might not have any taste buds after drinking the SH.

Truthfully, they are similar beers. On difference I noticed is that the SH warms up better...

Damn where can I get the sticky hands beer?

It's brewed by a small brewery in Oregon. They sell it out of their brewery and a limited supply of bottles make it to Portland. Literally, they bottle 50 cases a month. This stuff sells out in 24 hours. I happen to know that they release it at the brewery on the first Saturday of the month, and they deliver to about 6 bottleshops in Portland on the Wednesday following the first Saturday of each month. It gets sold to the same people (like me) every month, because the people that know about it seek it out. Not many people know about it. It's a hop bomb, and it's amazingly flavorful and complex and very hard to get.

LBD - another pour of HUB IPX.

Got my tickets to the Hillsboro Hops opener on June 18th. I'm hoping they draft some LSU boys...

The NEBCO and Hill Farmstead growlers are actually hoppy beers from Lone Pint.

Have you tried Mirror Mirror yet?

Best after date is February 2015.

Yes. I wasn't a big fan. For my taste, it was good, not great, but I did drink it almost a year before the "Best After" date. I had it on tap at the brewpub. Not as good as MoaS or Sucaba, IMO.

I liked the Planete Rouge better, per style, and that had a similar best after date. I have not tried the "Not the Stoic" yet, as far as Deschutes beers go.

ETA: Not to say that it is not an excellent beer. Just not in the class with Sucaba/MoaS, IMO.

Yea, that's a high standard. Curious about the wine barrel effect.

Nice haul.

I'm glad you grabbed Rocket Fuel. That's by far 8th Wonder's best beer.

Was sold on the Vietnamese coffee.

That growlers place is awesome. Didn't even bother with Specs this time.

Not sure, but that may have been what threw it off for me. I thought there was something a little off with the finish.

Barleywines are so intense and complex anyway, I'm not sure adding additional Pinot Noir was a great idea. I couldn't tell if that was what bothered me about it, or not, but it just wasn't to my taste like the others mentioned.

JW Lees makes some excellent barleywines that are aged in wine and Scotch barrels, though, and I put them in the same class as Sucaba/MoaS. I guess it is my particular tastes that are the problem.
