He didn't acknowledge the source of the problem in the culture in DC and that's the size and scope of gov't and even when Obama ran on changing the culture in DC, he still advocated for strengthening the gov't. Transparency can only get you so far and isn't gonna do shite if you're still leaving the problem as it is.
Rand is not only campaigning on transparency but he's attacking the real problem; gov't is too big, too bloated and too invasive on the everyday citizen and enables the culture in that den of thieves otherwise known as Washingon. Who knows, he may disappoint me but at least he acknowledges what the problem really is.

A president can't unilaterally shrink the size and scope of government. He can do what he is constitutionally enabled to do, but the majority of the shrinking is going to have to come from Congress. That isn't going to happen as long as there are tons of money and entrenched interests involved in the legislative process.
