Tl Dr - buddy went on date. Things went well, lots in common, mutual physical attraction, etc.

In my world, if you ask a girl out and things go well, it is on her to make the next move. The move can be as simple as a "thanks I had a great time and want to see you again". But the next move should come from her.

He thinks he should be calling the next day to set up date #2.

Different strokes I know, just curious what the all knowing ot thinks.

And save the alpha beta shite....

There's no right answer. It depends on the person.

If I were into the girl, I personally wouldn't end the date without making plans before the end of the night.

In Alabama I understand that it is common courtesy for the putative father to decide which of his children date each other.

eh...this could go either way.

I would just proceed more texting, work in some flirtation, then see how that went and then plan up the second date.

Nothing wrong with making plans before date is over.

Nothing wrong with calling the next day

Nothing wrong with waiting

Whatever gets you the next date is the right answer. And if it went as well as he thinks, any of these options probably works.

It completely depends on the people. I think calling the next day for date 2 seems a bit much, but maybe call to say hi.

If I'm interested, I call her the next or the second day after to say I had a good time and either set the second date or indicate interest in a second date.

You should ask this girl out yourself as a test to see if she's interested in your friend

Man up

If you want another date....ask for one.

An actual phone call instead of a text to ask this goes a long way IMO.

If I didn't hear from her by the time I wanted to I would call her. Its not a big deal IMO.

You're supposed to hint around to a second date, I thought? Like talking about what movie you want to see, or going to play putt putt, or bowling, shite like that. Feel it out, wait a day or two and hit her up via text with some small talk, then call her the next day and ask her if she'd like to go do something the next weekend, or the next time y'all both have a free night.

If things go well I'll leave the line in the water for a few days seeing if she bites to make the next move. If not I'll then go ahead and text her somewhere in the 4-5 days range to set something up.

The lady shouldn't have to do anything. Call the girl within the week if you'd like to see her again.
Her next move is when she grabs your wanker.

No that's not right IMHO. Guy ask a the girl. If she says no and doesn't suggest rescheduling, let it go. Then it's on her
