I've never been happy about that, nor having the SEC Network physical location not in an actual SEC State either, it's domiciled in North Carolina at an ESPN facility. Mind you this is a collaborative effort with them.
To bad the SEC doesn't follow ESPN lead and move the sec offices there too.

I've posted this numerous times and i will post it again.
If you are on a cable carrier that has access to WatchESPN, then chances are the deal will be done on time. These carriers have already gone through serious negotiations with Disney recently and that is a good sign that this too will be done.
Currently, those provers are: UVerse (deal already done for SECN), Bright House, Midcontinent, Time Warner, Charter, Cox, Verizon FIOS, Comcast, Dish (deal aldready done).
If you are on one of those providers, then chances are a deal will be done in time for the launch or very early on after launch.
Repeat...its by no means guaranteed (except for AT&T and Dish), but you should have some confidence thata deal will be done.
DirecTV almost has to do something for launch. One of their selling points is that they have a better working relationship with the varied networks than does Dish, so with Dish for once jumping on board early, it's pretty much a given that DTV will be on board.
If you are not one of these providers, then it might be a while. If they have balked at paying ESPN's fees for WatchESPN, then there is no way they will pay for SECN without a fight.
