Montego bay sucked. Grand Cayman was awesome. Do the rum distillery, beer brewery and rum cake factory excursions.

Just got back from the same cruise. We did the catamaran ride to swim with the sting rays in grand cayman. Was actually a blast. Went to an all inclusive resort in Jamiaca and it sucked. Stay on the boat and gamble that day.

Jamaica is basically a giant ghetto slum. No matter where you go you will be hounded by locals trying to get you to buy their wares. My advice is to go to a resort for the day, where no locals will be, and then go straight back to the boat without stopping. Be prepared for wild death-defying taxi rides.

Appleton Estate rum tour in Jamaica is great. Stingray city and the turtle farm in Grand Cayman. Take the catamaran.

Don't go away from the resorts. Especially don't go downtown. People walk up to you randomly and start telling you stuff about the city. After a few minutes they start to ask for money. The whole place sucks really.

Stingray City is fun but is where almost all the cruise folks go.

Having spent several week long vacations there, my recommendations are:

1. Rum Point- It is about a 25 minute drive from Georgetown. Great place to enjoy the sand and water with several good places to eat and drink as well as nice boutique type shops.

2.Cemetery Beach- it is on the North end of the gorgeous Seven Mile Beach and is a good place to snorkel. The name derives from the cemetery that is located just inland from the beach. You actually walk beside or through it from where you park. Never a ton of people there.

3.Smith Cove- very close to Georgetown. It is a very cool location that most cruise folks never go to. Locals and people vacationing for a week or more tend to visit the cove. The cove has cool rock ledges that you can snorkel around with depths often reaching 15-20 feet right beside the ledges. Been there when I saw only a few fish and other times when I saw fish everywhere. But it is great to look at the rock formations underwater even without fish present.

4. Stingray City- fun little excursion but again...you will be packed in with a horde of other cruise people. The three above are better in my opinion.

Oh yeah. Don't waste your time going to Hell. It is very underwhelming. That is a place to go for an hour on about day 6 of a week long vacation.

We did the floating excursion in Jamaica. Wasn't expecting much but turned out to be pretty cool.. Just being in the middle of the jungle in Jamaica. After we finished floating they had some homemade jerk chicken fresh off the grill. Turned out to be a cool little adventure. Just be sure if you take a cab somewhere in Jamaica that you take a legit cab

Cayman like others said is cool as hell. We just took a taxi to a local beach and snorkeled and whatnot

We did the Martha Brea bamboo river rifting in Jamaica. It was so nice and peaceful, the guides even let my boys raft. We will do it again when we go back in August.

In grand Cayman we always do the turtle farm for our 5 year old boys.

Do the zip lining in the morning than go to Margaritaville after. The zip lining was a lot of fun and you go to the jungle so there isn't a bunch of local Jamaicans hounding you for money.

Don't take a picture with anyone dressed up as a Rastafarian. They will ask you to take pictures with them and then demand you pay them for it. Screw them.

We did a five day vacation in Grand Cayman last year. We took in most of the sights during that time. There is shopping, the rum distillery (not open when I was there) and a snorkeling location within a short walk of the docks at the cruise terminal area. The turtle farm is cool but it is small and can be seen in 20 minutes. Stingray City is pretty memorable and I'd encourage you to try it. A short taxi ride to Cemetary Beach or the man made reef behind the Marriott on the Seven Mile Beach is a cheap and productive snorkeling trip.

I literally just did this cruise last week.

Not much in Grand Cayman, but it was the most beautiful island we went too. One tour and you will see everything. We did swimming with the sting rays.

Jamaica was a lot of fun, but we had an awesome tour guide. If you're in a group, I can give you his contact info and he can pick you up at the dock.

Jamaica sucks if you dock in Montego. (BTW Im pretty sure casino is closed while at port) There is the falls and some AI options but def don't do anything to do with diving or snorkeling. Jamaica is one of the worst islands at taking care of their reefs or what is left of them.
