I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that more taxes, no matter the amount, will not fix roads or schools in LA. It will probably hurt the business climate, though, and that's one of the best things LA has going for it right now.
Simply throwing more money at Government is not going to magically make it more effective, especially not in LA's political climate.
