Furthermore, the satus quo crowd is telling people that SG will have to raise taxes, and that the safe thing to do is keep the status quo because taxes are less likely to go up.

But keep in mind two things, the city just set up a special tax district and voted a big property tax increase for CATS. We know that happened.

Couple that with the linked article about the EBR School system being short of money.

I'm a reasonable person, but if you see a government entity short of money; it is reasonable to expect them to eventually ask for a tax increase.

So telling people that SG is going to have to raise taxes when the current system is close to having to raise taxes is being disingenuous.
