That is stupid to say he rips jerry off. I guess Jackie wasn't available when Phil and Bob approached JK. Kinda what makes it cool.

Jackie certainly isn't my favorite, but I like hearing somewhat of a different twist on Dead tunes with P&F.

Most people dont even know his name, everybody just calls him fake jerry. He played in a grateful dead cover band and tried to produce jerrys solos note for note.

But you think he DOESNT rip off jerry?

Tom Hamilton channels Jerry better than any of those other cover bands.

Hamilion, Steve Kimock, and Anders Osborne are my favorites. All different ways of interpreting the Jer Bear.

Fake Jerry is just ignorant even if "most people" refer him to that. Phil and Bobby have both said that when they brought him out to audition, they didn't want a mimic. DSO did something unique. JK's own band, like Jackie or just about every jam band in history, covers the Dead. But he doesn't sound like a Jerry mimic in his band.

The "Q" was one of the best bands ever. Wish I could make the show in NYC next month.

Anders is currently my favorite Jerry inspired player. I saw him last night here in Birmingham, he played Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad and also did a I Know You Rider jam. Was awesome.

Nice, he played those two with Dead Feat. I really like him too and am hoping he gets added to the BK all star jam at Lockn and then would hopefully sit in with P&F for the next set.

That setlist looked amazing. Five Bullets opener, Back on Dumaine, Boxes Bills and Pain, Let It Bleed bustout, Watchtower encore. Looking forward to hearing it!

I love Phil's voice when on covers like Broken Arrow and Tom Thumb's Blues. Perfect for those tunes.
