i ask them to tell me how much it costs...not how much it adds to my payment
the one time i bought one, it was on a used vehicle and it was only 1200 dollars

That would definitely be worth it. The F&I guy was adding ~$120/ month to my note for 3 years and that would cover me for 5 years. I just dont believe in extended warranties.
