Love your enthusiasm, but what makes you think this? The only player on the line I can see making a big jump is Armstead. Other than that, Grubbs and Evans are a year older, Strief has his money, and regardless of how De La Puente played at times last year, we're still sitting at a point of uncertainty at who will start at center right now.

So you answered your own question

Also Evans was fighting injuries last season

Strief has his money

Well that's it. He's going to suck now

Can cut him in 2 years if he doesn't perform. But he likes it here and he's a hard worker, I don't really see your angle.

This team does a good job of picking those type of players. People have said that same BS about Brees and now people are saying it about Graham

Not what I meant. I should've said that Strief is under contract long term, so he's the RT for the foreseeable future. That's my bad.

My point was that he, along with Grubbs and Evans, aren't going to make big improvements being 7-8 year veterans. That's not saying they haven't been good, it's just the least likely position of improvement in my opinion.

I think Evans will be replaced in a couple of years. I agree that he is only going to decline, but he's still got a few good years as a pro left in him. Injuries suck, and it's remarkable he played as long as he did without one.

Grubbs I'm still on the fence about. He looked considerably better when Armstead replaced Brown, but I'm really not sure about him (more specifically, his price for production). I am extremely worried about Center - DLP was nothing marvelous but he was at least there and healthy.

and I agree with that. Strief has been one of the better RT in the league. Grubbs is pretty good and Evans is great when healthy.

We had 2 weaknesses last year: LT and Center. Armstead has shown the ability to be a top LT talent. He graded out positively in his last 3 games with 2 near perfect rankings.

He didn't allow a QB sack, hit, or hurry against a tough Seattle matchup, nor did he have a penalty. So after a bad 1st half against Carolina, he's been pretty damn solid.

Armstead over Brown for the whole season is already a big upgrade, and of course, we expect improvement in his second year.

Grubbs and Evans are not improving, but they're very good players at their position and still relatively young for OGs. Evans is still elite when healthy.

Lelito/Armstrong/Goodwin (maybe) will hopefully be an ugrade to De la Puente....I'm confident that the front office is not content with settling for a downgrade at the position....also, DLP didn't get much interest in FA and was finally signed to be a backup in Chicago.

I'm expecting a very good O-line this season as we look to continue our run game dominance in the last few games/playoffs.

that really was a pleasant surprise.

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt too during that Carolina game. Its not like Greg Hardy was some jobber D-lineman.

pretty much shutdown Trent Cole in the wildcard round.

not real sure who he blocked the most in Seattle... maybe chris clemons?

Still a little worried about the O-line. That's just me though. Always a little paranoid.

Except for C, G, DT, DE, ILB, OLB, QB, RB, K, P, and coaching, but other than that, yes you are right.

I hope this post is sarcasm

If it's not:

We have one of the best Defensive lines in the league

Guard is solid

QB...WTF?

Our RB is quite good with Robinson/Ingram/Cadet/PT23

We drafted 2 rookies with a lot of potential at LB and we're getting Butler back. Also have reddick/humber as well.

This sounds like typical rantard trolling

I'll go on record at OLB we upgraded since we are getting Butler this year, hopefully 100% healthy. That only leaves C, G, DT, DE, ILB, QB, RB, K, P, and the coaching staff left with upgrades at CB, S, & OLB.

I did forget about TE being stagnant, so I guess that cancels out the OLB upgrade.
