I've been channel surfing sports shows all morning. It's Michael Sam wall to wall all the time.
One woman analyst said that Sam's resume dictated that he should have been picked in the first or second round. Inferring discrimination in his going in the 7th.
Confirms my oft stated axiom... Sports Journalists are Journalists First. Sports comes waaaay down the line.

Well, to the masses who know nothing about the combine and measurables, the 7th round selection does seem ridiculous for the reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Year. (I think I saw somewhere the last 5 or so didn't make it past the 17th pick in the draft)
You have to admit that.
ETA: To the draftniks among us, he definitely graded out to 5th round to undrafted, meaning he fell right in that range.
The NFL typically doesn't think highly of undersized defensive ends who are slow, but his production this year warranted him as a potential draft pick.

Because his 4.91 40 and 25" vertical is so attractive.
I swear, give me 3 months to train and I can beat these metrics and I'm 47. Those are terrible numbers.

This is why stupid, ignorant c*nts should not be allowed to do sports.
Perhaps this ignorant b!tch should go talk to Gino Torretta, Ty Detmer, or Doug Flutie. All won the Heisman Trophy and were drafted no earlier than the 7th round.
His combine 40 time was TOO DAMN SLOW for a linebacker. All his other test were well below average. THAT is what the NFL looks at.

Read ANY article about him published today and see if you can find just one that doesn't reference his homosexuality.
That's why this is what it's about and not sports or athleticism. It's pure unadulterated agenda driven journalism.
