LSD would not make you see something like that. I've tripped on mushrooms, dxm, and LSD countless times, and while I've seen patterns moving and walls melting, I've never seen an object turn into a completely different object

I've done them quite a few times as well (never dxm though), and I've never had even a feeling close to this. The fact that it was over in 2 hours makes me know it wasn't LSD, since those effects last much longer, so it had to be something that I've never tried.
