I still don't have a clue. I was going backpacking around the country starting that night, and it was in a city outside of Beijing, so by the time I realized what the hell was going on, he was gone and on his way back to Beijing. It didn't feel like LSD, I'll tell you that, and I only had like 5 beers before that. My best guess is ketamine, since this dude had openly bragged about dabbling in it a week before, and I've never had it. Also after researching it, it's pretty intense when it first kicks in, but quickly subsides after 2 hours, which is how long this lasted. Absolutely terrifying experience that I was eventually able to wrap my head around, but it was still one of the worst nights of my life.
