Well he only owns 20% of Beats, so he'll only make $640,000,000. And Apple also wanted the streaming business that Beats is building so it wasn't all about the headphones.

I read somewhere where they sell these headphones for 200 bucks or so and it only cost like 20 bucks to make them. That's pretty good return on investment. Plus I think it had more to do with the streaming service as less people are buying songs from the Apple Store.
