I've had people in classes at LSU who went to woodlawn, mckinley, dutchtown, etc, who didn't know what a semicolon was. Not how to use one, just straight up didn't know what it was.

Agreed, as a current student I have seen the same issues. It makes me really sad for these kids. Because they really don't know, and they should. I wish that everyone would be receptive to learn and that these kids could hAve some of the teachers that I had.

Are you sure about Dutchtown? I have heard nothing but good things about that school for years.
