Tulane is a better school. It shouldn't be a mystery that Tulane might be more highly regarded.

Probably due to people out of state. But I take that with a grain of salt. UCF is the most desirable in Florida?

Surprised Ga Tech didn't take Georgia.
How did Florida not win Florida?????

Same thing that happened to Tennessee. Highly regarded private university.

Same thing that happened in Florida, Missouri, California, Mississippi, and Tennessee.....dumbassery galore.

most desirable college in each state based on the number of applications they received this year.
Oh...well no shite then. Most applications doesn't necessarily equate with "most desirable."
I'm sure for a lot of people in Massachusetts, Harvard or MIT is "more desirable." They just get less applications because lots of people don't bother applying.
Dumb methodology.

UCLA over CAL or Stanford? UGA over GT? Lulz.

The map is based off of the number of people applying in the states, not the best schools. That being said, I am still surprised by Florida and Louisiana
Posted on 5/9/14 at 8:46 am to Lokistale
This is based purely on # of applications received

Makes sense given the criteria.

Duke is bullshite most its students are from NJ anyway, probably the same with Tulane over LSU.
