If you are going on one of the cheesy arse 4 or 5 night cruises leaving from Mobile, N.O., or Galveston, then you will be visiting shitty ports and be mostly with trash. 
If you go on a 7 night cruise out of south Florida, chances are much better than it will be ok.

Went on 7 day on Carnvial out of N.O. Mostly couples and old farts. Very quiet cruise and enjoyable. Wife and I had a suite w/nice size balcony.
