Answer would probably depend on the neighborhood, the other homes etc. Siding on a home that cost under $200k, probably not a big deal if other homes have it. More expensive home and homes in the neighborhood, you will take a hit later down the line to go cheap...

But I think even cheap vinyl siding would look better than mismatched brick.
