Really to me, it's all about accountability. I'd like to see if we could re-insert accountability into government (especially when people's lives are at stake.) Seriously, how could you bungle something this badly and not be held accountable? Not have brought anyone to justice over this?
I keep comparing it to work in the private sector. What if due to lack of planning or I was just having a bad day and I screwed up the big proposal and lost our best customer? And after the fact my boss wanted to know what went wrong and I came up with excuses and time lapses and there are no corrective actions. I guarantee you that I would not be in contention for my boss' position. I wouldn't be with the Company any longer.
