He sounds like one by acting like no one knows anything but him.
Most systems I've seen quoted are 7KW with a central inverter(s) and 5.5KW with micro-inverters and both priced at $25,000
I know for a fact that I can push 12.5KW using micro inverters installed for the same $25,000/$5,000 rebate.

I would love to have a conversation about it, but when people who don't know much come on and spout off about what a friend told them or what they read on the internet, it's a really futile exercise. You seem to have experience in getting quotes, do you think that means you know about the industry?

There must be a difference with the tax credits since the system is smaller using micros instead of string. I don't know LA credits like I know Hawaii. But, let's work with the 7kW, you think $3.50 is a bad deal for a company to take care of all permits, products, install, taxes, overhead, etc?

So you and Bubba can do it for $2 a watt? Is he an licensed electrician? Do you know how to do everything, install, paperwork, etc? Can you get a great deal by just ordering a few panels and not using some Chinese POS? Because if so, then why don't you do it? $2 a watt is excellent.
