so..... why aren't we building solar energy plants?
I have nothing against solar power, unlike your hatred for oil, despite using it with just about everything you do on a daily basis.
Until we learn how to store massive amounts of energy, solar power is pretty useless, and we are no where near being able to store massive amounts of energy. This new battery tech you linked is 5x's better than lithium ion. Thats like saying hey, instead of using triple A batteries, we have these new D batteries that store 5x's more energy.
Electricity is something as a civilization, we really suck at creating, harnessing and storing, and it's holding us back. There's so much renewable energy on this earth, we just just have no idea how to harness it.

Why are you so against O&G? Are you that much of a tree hugger or did they do something to you specifically?
I got news for you, the day we learn how to harness, create and store energy to the point where we don't need oil and gas as much to power the things we need, those new energy companies will be Exxon Energy and Shell Energy.
