Married men of the OT. Mothers Day

Here's the deal. My wife and I won't know if we're having a baby until the Tuesday after Mothers Day
Question: should I think positive and get her a Mothers Day gift with the chance of bad news on Tuesday?
We've gone through a lot over the last year and I don't want to be over optimistic and jinx it but it we do get the good news I would come off looking like a bawss
Suggestions?

Absolutely not. It sounds sweet, but the negative consequences far outweigh any positives.

Man I am not married and I don't have kids, but I would be really cautious, even if Tuesday goes right.
Maybe something small post Tuesday, but seems precarious to me.

Do you really have to ask that? That is way too early. Think - how would she feel if you did something and come to find out you aren't having one?

Yeah I'd wait until you guys find out for sure. Then celebrate a late mothers day.

Have something on hand and give it to her on Tuesday if it's good news. And good luck! ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

This is a no win situation. But chicks always dig presents so I'd get her something. Just not something baby related.

Buy her a mother's day card. Seal it and date it on Sunday. Give it to her Tuesday after the good news. You can say you knew all along cause you sealed it and dated it ahead of time. Heaven forbid you get bad news on Tuesday, destroy said card.

Here's the deal:
1. she is not your mother.
2. she may not even be a mother.
so why should you get her a mother's day gift? Bitches drive me crazy with their incessant demands.
caveat: i'm divorced and was once told by a judge(female) in open court that "You do not understand women".

nothing over the top, but a card with something nice written and something encouraging would go a long way IMO, keep those positive vibes brotha

Take it from someone that had an adoption set up and fall through and waited 8 long years to have a kid. Don't get her anything that will remind her of it in the case it doesn't work out. This will be my wife's first mother's day and now I'm going all out. We still have some things we bought for what was our potential adopted son and until we got pregnant last year she qould pull thise things out and be depressed for a few days until I hid whatever it was so she couldn't easily find it.
Maybe buy a card or something but wait until you find out to give it to her or not.
