I fricking hated that place. Parents pressured me in to going there so I pretty much flunked my first semester on purpose.

eta: Honestly though its not that bad. Just not a whole lot to do in thibodaux. Lotsa bars and churches. If thats your thing. And if its not, don't worry it will be. I can fill you in on almost any happy hour and drink special in town just let me know.

Only things worth doing over there are Petroleum Services and Safety. IIRC, they make you work either 7/7 or 14/14 while you are in school

I passed by there recently on the way to somewhere else, and they've come a long way as far as the size of the campus is concerned. Still, it's not anywhere near other campuses in Louisiana.

my mom was a professor at Nicholls, so i spent a lot of my summers growing up on that campus when i was really young… and from that experience, even at that age i knew i would never want to go to there as a student...
being 15 minutes away from mom and dad while going to college was a no go too… frick that shite…

Girl from my HS went there. She was very popular in HS and nobody else went there, so I found it weird that she went.. but as far as I know, she loved it.

It's kinda small. Thibodaux is a blast. Not far from the coast. Bayou Black is close.

If you want to get a job that is halfway worth a shite, you don't go to Nicholls State. Not sure that that's really just an opinion though.
