Well, that is an arbitrary number I just pulled out of my arse.

The point is, I know someone who retired 4 years ago who just recently said to me, "I never thought it would cost $100 to fill up my tank."

Now think about the cost of a gallon of milk, a pound of beef, etc., etc., etc... The rapid inflation of the last decade has eaten a lot of the interest earned over the last 40 years.

This is basically the foundation of the conspiracy for Obama and the powers that be to makes us all equal by making us all poor.

Inflation is something you have to take into account when you retire. My dad figured on giving himself a 4% "raise" every year when calculating where he needed to be to retire.


Government employees with defined pension don't seem to understand that if you retire at 55 with 80% of your highest salary you are gonna be a broke fricker in 25 years
