They just act like a bunch of know it all's. Honestly, though, it's not just Academy. Lots of places are like that.

I just wanted to comment on this. frick yes these people act like this. I didn't grow up with firearms and I wasn't afraid to ask questions. Instead of helping to educate me they just fed their egos. Now that I am more educated I like to stick it to these guys. My favorites are the ones browsing with you and they have to submit their approval for you to view a gun. They get a piece of my mind.
