I'm currently coaching a 5-6 y.o. T-ball team in my home town. As I expected, the kids are progressing as the season goes by, but last night one of our players did something that I had never seen before. He turned an unassisted triple play. Runners on 1st & 2nd base. Pop-up to him at 2nd base, caught and ran to 2nd base then ran down the runner going back to 1st. After doing a little research, I am even more amazed at what I witnessed last night. This has only been done 15 times in Major League baseball history.
Ya...because MLB runners know to stay on base when there is a pop up to 2nd!
