A few parallels in terms of replacing a lot of offensive talent, but the offense was seldom the problem in 2008. The real problem was the Mallveto-led D that was routinely shredded. The stability at DC makes is a huge distinction between 2008 and 2014.

People forget this. That offensive was explosive, until CLM got tired of the Pick 6's and shut it down the last couple games(as he should have).

I expect a similiar offense this season. Explosiveness, with some costly errors mixed in. Hopefully those errors dont give the other team 6 points each time.

I'm just not scared about the defense, i think they will be good, maybe great. Anytime you have two lockdown corners, one of the fastest LB corps, and two good DE, you should be more than fine.

I like how so many people are super quick to blame the defense, but ignore the offense was a turnover machine that put the defense in bad situations in our biggest games. Against UF, UGA, Bama, and Ole Miss we turned the ball over 12 times.

Yea, the defense sucked, but the offense did them no favors and definitely should shoulder some of the blame.
