I've always wondered what their official retort to this question is. No liberal has ever provided me a clear well thought out response to this question...

"Liberal" here.

Pro-choice

My only problem with the death penalty is that we have people spending 10, 20, even 30 years on death row. Allow no more than 1 appeal unless new evidence can be presented and get on with it. Also, in the event of a clean confession, more than 3 eyewitnesses, or any other irrefutable evidence, the sentence should be carried out in less than 90 days.

What does that do to your theory?

Gabby Giffords, useful tool of the left just gave a video address at an Emily's List banquet.

Emily's List supports pro abortion female democrat candidates.

I don't believe the government should have the right to execute its own citizens. Nor do I believe it should have the right to force a woman to give birth against her will. My 2 cents.

Death penalty executions should be relabeled as post-birth abortions & the libs would then be for it.

I always wondered why they want to reduce the amount of tax credits someone can get when they give to charities yet they want the rich to give that same money to the govt to give to the needy. If it were truly about helping people, they would be happy to cut out the middle man.

I'm personally pro life, but I don't walk in everyone else's shoes: I think everyone should have the right to choose. I'm in a position now where an unexpected pregnancy would probably be viewed as a blessing. But there have been times in my life (when I was younger) when I wasn't in a good position to raise a child and abortion would have been the best option. I'm against late term abortion, however.

I'm anti-death penalty b/c there is no way to correct a wrongful execution. And people are being wrongfully convicted and executed way too often.

Death penalty costs too much money. The appeals process winds up being more expensive than a life sentence. Besides, the government really shouldn't have the right to pass a judgement of life or death.

Abortion...I just don't care enough about someone else's kid to make a big deal out of it. It's a horrid practice, but there are situations where I understand its use. For all other situations, I just don't care enough to object to it anymore.
