Now you applaud our cancelling NC State, so we can inevitably replace them with Directional FSC U - that will show everyone!

We're going to replace them with a harder kickoff game

We keep beating the pac10... Remember the Oregon game? Then WVU

You're missing the entire point though. Ever been to Athens? I'd like to go more than once every 12 years. I'm going to be close to 40 next time we play there

West Virginia isn't in the Pac 10 or 12. Maybe you mean UW.

Advocate Story on cancellation of series

quote:

LSU most recently scheduled a home-and-home series with Syracuse for 2015 and 2017. N.C. State would have given LSU two major nonconference opponents in one season in 2017, something the school likes to avoid.

Not official of course, but IMO anybody who thinks that we will replace NC State with a top tier school hasn't been paying attention.

Absolutely. It's not just that our schedule IS harder than Bama's (let's face it bama is our #1 challenge to winning the SEC) but we just don't get to play the other teams from the east very often. imo, the SEC just won't be the SEC any longer. 9 games is the solution but it just doesn't seem to garner the necessary support. the end result is the SEC is basically two different conferences that has a deal to play the winners at seasons end. AND, bama gets the easier schedule just about every damn year. ONE GAME is huge in the uber competitive world that is the SEC west.
