I know this has been brought up a few times in the past year but the search didnt give me much help. Anyway guys I'm in a bad way golf wise. If yesterday wasn't bad enough, decided to suck it up and go to the range today to fight through my problems. At least yesterday I could hit it in the air, today I shanked/hosel rocketed at least 3/4 of the bucket of balls. I need to go see somebody to get shite right again. So I know the guy at Santa maria has been mentioned before are there any others? I want somebody that will be on the range with me not hitting in a net or simulator. Who y'all recommend?

These two pictures are a great thing to study to fix any swing...especially those with the shanks lol

notice arnie's shoulder length...his shoulders are square and in the top of his backswing the left shoulder is behind the ball with his left arm locked. This is key for people with the shanks. Starting this out for the first time will tend to make you want to dip because your front leg needs to bend during the backswing...simply keep your back up straight and shorten your backswing so that it doesnt go all the way behind your head....here is the most important part...when youve put all of that together its all about concentraton and keeping your head down...NO BOBBING AND WEAVING!!! imagine as if you had a caddy and he/she were using a club shaft sitting on the crown of your head...DO NOT MOVE YOUR HEAD BEFORE IMPACT!!! this will keep your hips in line and force you to bring the club face back around straight and prevent a shank...
