I can't fathom how people would think like that. When we sold ours we sold it for the same cost the other homes sold and those all sold with realtors. Like you guys said a house is worth what it's worth. I have heard people say that FSBO buyers tend to think they should get it 4-6% lower because it's "by owner" but that defeats the whole purpose IMHO.

It really isn't rocket science. It's marketing and price it correctly. I got a little more than comps were selling on MY street. Get rid of the crap in your house and clean it! Neutral paint and less furniture to allow buyers to imagine their crap in your house
