Bull shite. The CP councilmen from the unincorporated areas of the parish KNOW the budget treats their constituents fairly.

That's why not a single one of them, including Mayor Pro-Tem Chandler Loupe whose entire district is St George, made ZERO comments on the budget when it was voted on last December.

So, I guess you are saying the 50M transfer of funds is reasonable. I guess you are entitled to that opinion.

But, It seems to me that St. George residents disagree. And, I don't blame them.

Lots of talking in circles. Y'all say "so what" when the fairness claims were brought up by y'all. If it's only about school, then don't complain about the funneling of money issues.

Thank you for giving me permission to have an opinion.

The intergovernmental transfer is a smokescreen put out there by unknowledgeable, low information voters. The budget is filled with money flowing between the "parish" and the "city."

There is no screwing of the unincorporated area by the city. In fact, the SG area pays a small fraction of the total property taxes paid in EBR. Not a single one of the top ten property tax payers are in St George. Take out the sales & gambling taxes collected from shoppers/gamblers from all over the area at the MoL, L'Auberge & Perkins Rowe (which is going to happen) and St George has a miniscule tax base compared to the parish as a whole.

This is the last time I will repeat these obvious facts.

Money the fairness thing isn't even a real issue except the anti SG folks keep whining about the money they are losing and they keep telling us to shut up and be satisfied because our officials who are severely outnumbered didn't protest the budget .

It is a red herring. The issue is schools and local control.

The anti SG people aren't going to let that happen.
