They guy Cox they have going Saturday has good numbers but looks like he's been a reliever most of the year (only 2 starts)

Yes the games Ive seen Williams will start on Friday and then runs into trouble and Cox relieves him.

Seems like Sunday could be Martin(Saturday starter) or Williams(Friday starter).

This doesnt seem like a "save our ace against someone other than Nola" like MSU did.

Do they even ace, bro? Their top pitcher (Lee) is 4-1 with a 4.93 era. Cox is 3-1, 1.62 era.

They are desperate to try anything. Their starters in 15 SEC games are 2-5 with 8 no decisions.

Yea Preston Brown was MSU's ace. He was unavailable against us.

Tennessee's best ERA for a starter that has started in the SEC is Hunter Martin(3.23) and he probably wont start unless he goes Sunday instead of their Friday guy.

Tennessee's lineup Friday, no matter who pitches for them.

If I were the other team, and didn't have a truly dominant ace, why not throw some tomato can on Friday night and save your best to go against anyone other than Nola?

That would be my strategy if I was an opposing coach facing LSU.

Ross Mitchell is MSU's ace and he was pushed back to start on Saturday night in the series.

I love when a team does something like this. It is like they are giving the Win to Nola and assuming there best pitcher cannot compete against Nola.(Which is true, but still)

How would you feel as a player if your coach did that? That shows lack of confidence in his team. Poor coaching.

@RandyRosetta: #LSU vs. Tennessee: Vols coach Dave Serrano said he will use multiple pitchers in all three games -- chop-it-up style.

@RandyRosetta: Tennessee rotation will be Peter Lenstrohm-Andy Cox-Nick Williams. 1st start for Lenstrohm, 3rd for Cox. Williams is a weekend regular.

@RandyRosetta: UT coach Dave Serrano said second pitcher each day will be Kyle Serrano -Hunter Martin-Bret Marks. Younger Serrano and Martin 8 starts each.

That's correct but most MSU fans consider Ross Mitchell their ace. He was 13-0 for them last year. You can be the ace without pitching on Fridays. Ex: Stanek for Arkansas last year.

Beede was an ace last year as I recall. Not so good this year though.

That's not such a bad assumption Although to be fair, this seems like an entire makeover
for their rotation. They're inserting two new starters that usually don't start on the weekends. They need it. Alabama tore up their pitching staff in Knoxville last weekend and we aren't on overly impressive offensive club.

I wouldnt consider anything of them aces. They didnt really have an ace last year either but yeah Mitchell is their best pitcher. Lindgren is good too.
