Please be Malone...
I really hope he comes back. He's gonna be a solid 4 year player for us. Got a pretty nice skill set for a 7-footer, but like with many international players, there's a learning curve.

It's always fun, and completely fair to the players, to speculate on which kids should have their scholarships yanked.
I think it is a legitimate question. Attrition is an obvious part of the football program most years. It is a reality this year in basketball.

Have you watched him? Good lord he is horrible. He has no feet, cannot get into position and is only good at fouling. He is overmatched at this level and it shows big time. He is just big, he is not athletic.

It is. But there are honestly too many variables involved to make a truly good educated guess today as to who the odd-man-out will be.

there is some smoke about TQ leaving, remember he lost someone close to him and may want to be closer to home.
also if mccray leaves that could impact him. hope he stays though.

Yes, I've watched him. Thanks for asking. He was a true freshman playing his first season of basketball in America. The game is different and takes kids in that situation a while to figure it out.

I wouldn't really call that "smoke". Just straight-up speculation.

He doesn't have it. He will be a minute filler at best.

Based on one year of playing american basketball as an 18 year old. Roger that!

You need minute fillers.

I didn't realize I had stumbled into the 2nd grade classroom. I will see myself out now.

What?
No one is saying Malone will be a superstar. He will be a good 3-4 year role player for us. He is an athletic 7-footer adjusting to the American game.

Malone loves LSU. I've talked to him and his mother and they both think his future is at LSU. They know he has a lot to learn but he is a hard worker and is willing to put in the effort.

Surprised no one has mentioned Patterson might not qualify. It's not certain he won't, but his grades are not good.

If for nothing else, we should keep him around for his twitter feed.

I really hope Morgan can make it back. My guess right now would be Hammink - I've heard before that he can probably afford to walk on.
Posted on 4/23/14 at 3:10 pm to lsu2006
there's more than that, just dont want to post it.
hope he stays though, he played his best ball in march

yea, that's another one. if everyone who should return does return, it wouldn't be that big a loss.
