Just for fun if you made 100,000 a year; that'd be like tipping $0.015. That's kind of insulting.
Also, I supervise/advise salesmen that make 5 times as much as me. If salesman are good at their job and their product doesn't suck, it can be an extremely lucrative career.
ETA: Just to clarify, I also think the whole $3 tip thing is some entitlement bullshite poison from some adolescent service worker.
