Yes.

In the early 2000's I worked in Covington while living in Baton Rouge. Made that 78 mile drive every day for a couple of years. In short order, I received two speeding tickets and couldn't afford a third.

One morning I'm doing about 85 in pretty heavy traffic and as I near the Holden or Satsuma exit I get radar'ed by a cop going the opposite direction. He starts pulling onto the median for a quick uturn and I instinctively exit the interstate. I glanced back and notice that with the traffic behind me he would have a tough time turning around and didn't see me exit since he was obviously focused on the oncoming traffic.

I crossed over the interstate and busted arse down the road and pulled into the back of a truck stop and started pumping gas into my vehicle. The cop must have missed my exit and stayed on the interstate as I never saw him go by. I got on 190 and drove into work obeying the speed limit.

I never got that third ticket.
